A retreat that breaks physically with the city while carrying the aesthetic codes of modernity with it. Not a conventional mountain house, but a building that sets a geometric counterpoint to the organic forms of nature.
The site lies beyond ordinary logistics, at a point vehicles can barely reach, and that shaped the language of the design. Rather than being built in place, the house was assembled on site from modular parts; the approach keeps intervention in the terrain to a minimum and produced the sharp, faceted geometry of the design.
Sharp lines, a minimal external presence and glazed surfaces that draw in light allow the materials to sit naturally within the texture of the land, while the geometry stands in deliberate contrast to it.
